Our First Korea Trip ~

Hello Everyone, Finally i have time for this little space!

I flew to South Korea for 11D10N with XL and even most of the things were planned. But we didn’t really followed everything as i was still unwell from Dengue Fever =(


Flight Details

We flew on SIA economy class from Singapore to Seoul. The tickets that we got was during SIA sales and it cost us around $680 per person =)


As for accommodation, we changed 4 places during this 11 days! We found our accommodation via https://www.airbnb.com.sg/.

For day 1 and 2: Kitty Loft #6

Day 1 ( 8th Sept 2014)

My parent had lunch with us before sent us off.

CIMG2149Our Flight departed at 14:55 and arrived at Incheon international airport around 11pm (Korea time).

Take the Airport Limousine Bus 6002 & proceed to somewhere which near to our guest room and took a cab there. For more information, on the Airport Limousine Bus  > http://www.airport.kr/airport/traffic/bus/busList.iia?flag=E

And finally finally we arrived at our guestroom, and greeted by LOTS of HELLO KITTY items! Hello Kitty sofa, bedsheet and etc. For review of the Kitty guestroom

And ended our day with cup noodles!

Day 2 ( 9th Sept 2014)

After our breakfast at Paris Banquette (they are everywhere in seoul), we walked to GyeongBokGung Palace which is around 10 to 15 minutes walk from our guestroom.

The Entrance ticket: Adults 3,000 won / Youths 1,500 won
Getting there: Gyeongbokgung Station (Subway Line 3), exit 5.

And had quick lunch at nearby – A Thai Cafe

 After lunch, we went to Changdeokgung Palace (yes, another palace in Seoul)

The Entrance Tickets: Changdeokgung Palace -Adults 3,000 won/Children 1,500 won
Secret Garden area -Adults 5,000 won/Children 2,500 won (We didn’t went to the secret Garden)

Getting there: Anguk Station (Subway Line 3), Exit 3. walk around 5min.

Getting there: Cable Car – Myeongdong Station, Exit 3 and walk up for 10 to 15 minute
Cable Car Fare: Round-trip: 6,300 won

 Day 3 ( 10th Sept 2014)

We took a cab to Seoul Train station and took train to Gimpo Airport.

Fight: We flew on EastStarJet from Seoul to Jeju Island and the flight journey takes only about an hour.

Hotel: we stayed at EJ hotel for 2 nights! and i just found out that i didn’t took any photo of the hotel and room …

Transport: You can either rent a car with GPS or rent a taxi. As xl can drive well, so we rented a car there ~ Say hi to our buddy !

 Our first meal in Jeju Island. It was sooo delicious! But xl said that i was toooo hungry! It was only so-so to him!
Our first location: MYSTERIOUS ROAD

You will see many tourists (include us) rolling bottle on the road or walking to and fro the slope

2nd Location: LoveLand

It is just along the Mysterious road. Not a place for kids but more for couples. CIMG2361

 3rd Location: Beach

I have no idea where is this place, but we stop by to view the beautiful sunset.

 Day 4 ( 11th Sept 2014)

We woke up quite early as we had quite a few places need to cover.

  1. Miniature Park/MiniLand

The whole place was quite empty as we were there around 9 or 10 am. Its a place for KIDs or who love to take photos! As you can really take tons of photo.

Ya, nobody took this photo for us, so i Photoshop it!

2. Manjanggul Cave

It was super duper COLD inside the cave! And it was very slippery! But it was definitely a must go places. You can’t find such cave in singapore !

Please wear a jacket or long pants/jean if you are scare of cold. Bring a good camera as it is very dark inside! You need a good flash, or using night mode!

3. Seongsan Ilchulbong

Also known as the Sunrise peak, we didn’t climb up the Sunrise peak….


4. Teddy Bear Museum

It was quite out the way and we drove around 45 minutes or so.. But As a teddybear love, how can i missed out on this place in Jeju Island?

6. Cheonjiyeon Waterfall

Dinner ! we had the so-called famous Abalone porridge!

Was quite disappointing, i guess the seafood soup is much better!CIMG2637

There were 3 abalones in this seafood soup! Its good!

 Day 5 (12th Sept 2014)

Back to Seoul and i was very tired! =(

The only activities was SHOPPING @ Ewha Womans Univ but i have no strength at all =X

I was so tired that we only shop around an hour den we went off! It was quite difficult to find supermarket there, but it was SOOOO much easiler to find a shop selling cosmetics. We took quite a while to find a supermarket to buy some food back … As chief Kwek was cooking dinner for us!

 Day 6 (13th Sept 2014)


Everland Resort is a theme park in Yongin, a city in Gyeonggi-do province, South Korea.
Daytime ticket (1 day pass): Adults 46,000 won / Students 39,000 won / Children & Seniors 36,000 won
We took a train to Gangnam Station and took BUS 5002 (around 45 minutes) there.

It definitely a must go places for kids/adult.

 Day 7 (14th Sept 2014)

 Another shopping day for me!

Other than shopping, we also went to Seoul Global Culture & Tourism Center located on the 5th floor of the M Plaza in Myeongdong for FREE Hanbok costumes Experience.

My Shopping loots~ Had spent around $700 SGD!

 Day 8 (15th Sept 2014)

Nami Island – one of the famous tourist attraction. It is famous with the beautiful tree lanes and also shooting place of Winter Sonata

We took train to Gapyeong Station, and took a shuttle bus ~


Petite France

Its around 25 to 30 minutes bus ride from Gapyeong Wharf. It is very small and we took only less than an hour to finish this place. And it was the shooting location of Beethoben Virus

Day 9 (16th Sept 2014)

Our JSA/DMZ Tour

This tour was something that XL had been looking forward to! Coz of this tour, i was force to get myself a polo tee and wear jean! (the weather is so hot lo)CIMG2822

we had a better understanding of the history of North and south Korea. And there is a defector telling us how she escaped from north Korea and the life there. It’s pretty interesting!

We were told not to take any photo without permission and wonder around.

Trick Eye Museum Seogyo-Dong Seoul.
Ice Museum Seoul
It was duper cold inside and there wasn’t any jacket or winter coat for us. We were inside there for 5 minutes only before i rushed out!
